The Lord’s Prayer: Your Kingdom Come (24th Wednesday - Questions 109-113)

The world is filled with injustice, suffering, and brokenness. When we pray, 'Your kingdom come,' we long for God’s rule to be fully established on earth as it is in heaven.
The catechism teaches that God’s kingdom is His reign of righteousness, peace, and joy through Jesus Christ (Romans 14:17). It has already begun but will be fully realized when Christ returns (Revelation 11:15). Until then, we live as citizens of His kingdom, working to advance His gospel and justice in the world (Matthew 6:33; Micah 6:8).

If you long for a world made right, pray for God’s kingdom to come. Explore questions 109-113 in the catechism to understand how His kingdom advances through Christ and His Church.
  • Seek first God’s kingdom, making His will your priority.
  • Live as a witness to Christ’s rule, demonstrating His love and justice.

Transform Our Heart Through Prayer

Lord, may Your kingdom come in my life and in the world. Use me to be an agent of Your righteousness, peace, and joy. Amen.
