Tuesday of Easter Week 6 – Devotion

Text: Psalm 67

We live in a culture that’s deeply self-focused. Even our spirituality can become centered on what God can do for me—my peace, my purpose, my blessings. But Psalm 67 offers a wider view: God blesses His people so that His ways may be known on earth, and His saving power among all nations.

This short psalm echoes the priestly blessing from Numbers 6: “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us.” But it doesn’t stop there. The psalmist pleads for blessing not as an end in itself, but as a means to global worship: “Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!” (v. 3). Israel’s role was always to be a light to the nations—and through Jesus, the light has come for all.

When we receive God’s grace, we’re not meant to hoard it. We’re called to reflect it. Every gift, every answered prayer, every mercy is a chance to point others toward the Giver.
Take time today to thank God for the blessings in your life—but then go one step further. Ask Him how He might use your life to bless others. Whether it’s sharing your faith, giving generously, or simply extending kindness, remember: you’re part of God’s global mission.

Transform Our Hearts Through Prayer
Gracious God, thank You for the blessings You pour into our lives. We confess that we often think only of ourselves. Holy Spirit, lift our eyes to see Your heart for the nations. Use our lives to make Your name known, and let our blessings become a light to others. Amen.
