Tuesday of Easter Week 5 – Devotion

Text: Psalm 148

It’s easy to feel small in the world. News headlines, the vastness of space, the rush of time—these can make us wonder if we matter at all. But Psalm 148 invites us into a cosmic choir, where every part of creation has a voice, and our praise joins a majestic symphony.

This psalm is a call to worship that sweeps from the heavens to the earth. Angels, sun, moon, sea creatures, mountains, trees, animals, kings, and commoners—everything and everyone is summoned to praise the Lord. Why? Because He is the Creator, the Sustainer, and the One who has “raised up a horn for his people” (v. 14)—a reference that Christians have long seen fulfilled in Christ, the saving King.

Your life matters not because of your status or your success, but because you are part of God’s creation and redemption. You are invited to worship—not as an outsider, but as a beloved voice in the great chorus.

Try this: spend a few minutes outside today and let creation’s beauty lead you into praise. Turn off your phone. Breathe the air. Let the birds and trees remind you that all things were made to glorify God—including you. Worship isn’t just for Sundays; it’s a way of life.

Transform Our Hearts Through Prayer
Creator God, all of heaven and earth declare Your glory. Thank You for giving us a place in Your world and a voice in Your praise. Forgive us for forgetting how much we matter to You. Holy Spirit, awaken our hearts to worship, and teach us to live in awe and gratitude each day. Amen.
