Resurrection and Eternal Life (20th Wednesday - Questions 87-91)

Many people fear death, wondering what lies beyond this life. But for Christians, death is not the end—it is the beginning of eternal life with God.

The catechism teaches that Jesus rose bodily from the dead, securing our hope of resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:20-22). Because He lives, we too shall live (John 11:25-26). Those who trust in Christ will be raised to eternal life, where there will be no more pain, sorrow, or death (Revelation 21:1-4). This hope shapes how we live today, knowing that our lives have eternal significance (Philippians 3:20-21).

If you fear death or wonder about eternity, take comfort in the promise of resurrection. Explore questions 87-91 in the catechism to deepen your understanding of the Christian hope of eternal life.
  • Live with the hope of resurrection, knowing that Christ has conquered death.
  • Set your heart on things above, living each day in light of eternity.

Transform Our Heart Through Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for the victory of Your resurrection. Fill my heart with hope and help me to live in joyful expectation of eternal life with You. Amen.
