Welcome to the POP Kids Leadership Team
Goals of POP Kids Ministry
Our mission is to give the peace of Jesus to the children in the Space Coast. This takes place primarily as we seek:
- to disciple children through our weekly children’s ministry programs
- to disciple families through intergenerational family ministry initiatives.
- to train, equip and encourage parents as they disciple their children in the home.
- to train and mentor our children's ministry volunteers.
- to find creative ways to connect with families in our community who have not yet professed faith in Jesus.
Our aim is to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for children of any age, gender, ethnicity, culture or financial situation. We are committed to providing a place where children can hear about the good news of Jesus' life, death and resurrection and learn to be His disciples from an early age.
This is done as we encounter the Triune God revealed through his word, the Bible, and is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. We aim to make the presentation of God’s word developmentally appropriate and engaging for children of all ages. We believe that Christian growth is a life-long endeavor and so Children’s Ministry partners with Youth and Family ministries in cultivating life-long discipleship and growth.

All Volunteers
- Complete Background Check
- Complete Safeguarding Our People Training Biennially
- Complete Additional Training with Director of Children's Ministry
Sunday Morning: Elementary Classroom
- Volunteers are required to prepare for the lesson beforehand. Director of Children's Ministry leads the lesson, but it is wise and helpful for volunteers to also know the material.
- Volunteers are expected to arrive at church 10 minutes before church begins.
- Volunteers must be committed to modeling godliness in their dress, language and behavior.
Sunday Morning: Nursery
- Volunteers are required to prepare for the lesson beforehand. Volunteers are expected to lead the lesson in the nursery.
- Volunteers are expected to arrive at church 20 minutes before the service starts on those days that you are scheduled to teach.
- Volunteers must be committed to modeling godliness in their dress, language and behavior.
Wednesday Evenings
- Volunteers are expected to arrive by 6:15.
- Volunteers are expected to be prepared to engage with children through play, lessons, and fellowship.
- Volunteers must be committed to modeling godliness in their dress, language and behavior.
