The Lord’s Prayer: Hallowed Be Your Name (23rd Wednesday - Questions 105-108)

In a culture that often trivializes God, we are called to honor His name. To pray, 'Hallowed be Your Name,' is to desire that God’s holiness would be recognized and revered in our lives and the world.

The catechism teaches that to 'hallow' God’s name means to worship Him rightly and live in a way that reflects His holiness (Exodus 20:7; 1 Peter 1:15-16). This includes speaking truthfully about God, honoring Him in our words and actions, and pointing others to His glory (Psalm 34:3; Matthew 5:16).

If you long to see God glorified in your life, meditate on what it means to hallow His name. Explore questions 105-108 in the catechism to deepen your understanding of worship and holy living.

  • Honor God in your speech and conduct, reflecting His holiness.
  • Worship God with reverence, seeking to glorify Him in all things.

Transform Our Heart Through Prayer

Lord, may Your name be honored in my life. Help me to live and speak in a way that glorifies You. Amen.
