Welcome to the Greeting Team
On this page you will find a brief overview of the responsibilities of the Greeting Team, as well as a contact form to get started!
Goals of the Greeting Team
The Greeting Team is the welcoming face of Prince of Peace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all who walk through our doors. As the first point of contact, greeters offer friendly smiles, handshakes, and helpful guidance to newcomers and regular attendees alike. Their role is not just hospitality but ministry—helping people feel seen, valued, and at home in our church family.

General Expectations of the Greeting Team
Door Greeters assist with opening doors, answering questions, and directing guests to key areas such as the nursery, restrooms, and seating. The Lobby Greeter oversees the digital guestbook and welcome bags. All greeters are also attentive to those who may need special assistance.
Door Greeter
Arrive 30 minutes before the service, wear a name tag, and greet everyone with a smile. Greeters introduce first-time visitors to the Lobby Greeter and assist those needing help. They also manage sanctuary doors—propping them open before the service and closing them when it begins. In traditional services, they help direct communion traffic. With no post-service duties, their primary focus is ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and positive first impression for all who enter the church.
Lobby Greeter
Lobby Greeters provide a warm welcome and assist members and guests before and after services. They greet people from the lobby floor, introduce themselves to new visitors, and offer first-time guests a gift bag. They also manage the welcome desk, overseeing the Digital Guest Book and assisting guests with church resources.
